چکیده
Background: In rainfed agriculture, lentil is considered an important legume crop. But in conditions adequate soil moisture condition a major obstacle that leads to reduced germination per cent, slow down growth of the seedlings and finally reduction yield. Seed priming alternative which can improve percentage seedling establishment lentil. Methods: The present work, deals with (Lens culinaris L.) cv. HUL 57 where seeds were primed different concentrations/combinations boric acid (H3BO3) zinc sulphate heptahydrate (ZnSO4.7H2O). parameters taken into consideration was (ranging from 18 96 h), radicle plumule length, fresh dry weights at time intervals 48 h) during both consecutive years i.e., 2014-15 2015-16. Result: Among all treatments, 4 mM (B2), 2 (Zn1) + (T1) significantly improved percentage, lengths, over other treatments years.

Influence of Harvest Aid Herbicides on Seed Germination, Seedling Vigor and Milling Quality Traits of Red Lentil (Lens culinaris L.)
Most red lentil produced worldwide is consumed in dehulled form, and post-harvest milling and splitting qualities are major concerns in the secondary processing industry. Lentil producers in northern temperate regions usually apply pre-harvest desiccants as harvest aids to accelerate the lentil crop drying process and facilitate harvesting operations. This paper reports on field studies conduct...

Evaluation of the effect of spatial distribution of weeds on seed yield of lentil (Lens culinaris L.) in rainfed conditions
Weeds are one of the most important factors in reducing yield in legumes crops. Therefore, awareness of the interaction between weeds and crops as well as identification of their spatial variation pattern in the field is important. To investigate the the effect of weeds on seed yield of lentil, and also to study the spatial distribution pattern of weeds under rainfed conditions, a field experi...
